Data Professional · Lagos, Nigeria
Hi! I'm a statistics undergraduate at the University of Lagos and a data professional in Lagos, Nigeria. The short version of what I do: I analyse things, then I build them.
Most of my work starts as a Lagos-sized problem. So far I've built a skill-verification engine for Nigeria's 41 million informal workers (Recivo, 2nd of 1,600+ teams at GTCO Squad 3.0); designed and shipped a verified student-housing marketplace solo, end-to-end (Setld); and built an AI symptom checker with a doctor-review workflow (Soma). When I'm not building, I'm investigating: in-depth analyses on the reality of real estate in Lagos, whether headline sentiment moves engagement, and what predicts learner outcomes at ALX Nigeria.
This summer I'm joining GTCO Squad's data team, the same team whose hackathon Recivo placed 2nd in.
Outside of building, I facilitated the data science track at CJID's AI Campus Network at UNILAG, and I now serve on the training & competitions core team at GDGoC UNILAG. I also co-founded a 50+ member data science study group and spoke to 200+ high-school students at YIBA TechUp.
Non-work-wise, I shoot photos and video, sketch, and read widely enough to maintain a respectable bank of not-yet-useful knowledge.
